The bronze monument, created by Justesen, is located at the corner of Vester Soegade and Gyldenloevesgade near Dannerhuset. Countess Danner was married to King Frederik VII. She was a benefactor for poor women and children of her time. In 1873, she established 'King Frederik the Seventh's Foundation for Poor Women of the Working Class.' In 1875, Dannerhuset was completed, and 52 women could move in. The monument is unveiled on the UN's International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women on 25 November.
