The venue, which is the primary stadium of the Hungarian national soccer team with a capacity of almost 68,000 seats, is designed to house concerts, congresses, and other events as well. It was built on the location of the former Ferenc Puskas Stadium, the demolition of which was completed in October 2016. The construction works of the football stadium began in 2017.
