The resolution demanded an immediate unconditional and permanent ceasefire in Gaza respected by all parties, it further demanded the immediate unconditional release of all hostages, as well as the lifting of all restrictions on the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza. The resolution received 14 votes in favour and one vote against (United States). The resolution was not adopted due to the veto by the US a permanent member.
