Hundreds of motorcyclists who depend on their vehicles protested against the Liberia National Police's decision to restrict motorcycle transportation in most areas of Monrovia. They cited the death of a motorcyclist and the subsequent clashes with the police as reasons for their protest. The Supreme Motorcycle Transport Union of Liberia, which organized the demonstration, has petitioned the National Legislature, the Ministry of Justice, the United Nations office, and the US Embassy for their intervention.
