epa11867522 Sadhus, or holy men, stand together during the Naga Yatra procession of deities as part of a week-long celebration of the opening of the biggest Hindu Temple and complex in the Southern Hemisphere, in Johannesburg, South Africa, 01 February 2025. The procession of the deities is done so that the deities can bless the people of Johannesburg prior to their installation at the temple complex. The Bochasanwasi Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS) Hindu Mandir and Cultural Complex hopes to foster multi cultural dialog between Hindu and local cultures as the BAPS will include a gym, yoga classes, open office space, meditation rooms and food free of charge.
