The two officials discussed developments in the Gaza Strip and the city of Rafah, the importance of an immediate ceasefire, and all efforts to ensure the entry of urgent humanitarian aid, according to Saudi foreign ministry statement. Blinken is on a regional tour expected to visit Egypt on 21 March to meet with foreign ministers from Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Jordan, UAE international cooperation minister and the secretary-general of the Palestinian Liberation Organisation, according to the Egyptian foreign ministry.
