The first summer storm of the year and the first of its kind since August 2020 has been named 'Poly'. The Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute (Koninklijk Nederlands Meteorologisch Instituut, or KNMI) has issued a code red warning for part of the country, which asks residents to take action as precaution because of 'a high risk of dangerous situations due to tree branches breaking off, trees being blown over and objects flying around such as roof tiles or garden furniture.'
