Shanghaiâs first single-dose COVID-19 vaccine from CanSino Biologics, named Convidecia, hit the market on 28 January 2022, according to the report of Shanghai Municipal Peopleâs Government. It is the only one-shot COVID-19 vaccine authorised for use in China. Test shows that vaccine is 95.47 percent effective in preventing severe disease 14 days after vaccination, and 68.83 percent effective in preventing all symptomatic disease.
