The Supreme Court of Justice (CSJ) of El Salvador swore in 98 judges this Sunday amid a controversial reform to the Law of the Judicial Career that dismisses more than 200 judges. The reform came into effect on Saturday, but the Family Chamber of the Oriente Section of the department of San Miguel on Wednesday ordered the CSJ to 'suspend the application' of the reform decree, approved by the Legislative Assembly, with a pro-government majority and signed by President Nayib Bukele.
