Thousands people evacuated from their homes after 11 southern coast provinces have been put on a weather warning as tropical storm Pabuk is expected to bring heavy downpours, strong winds and high waves. According to the Thai Meteorological Department, Tropical Storm Pabuk was moving west into the Gulf of Thailand on 03 January, with maximum winds of 65kph. Pabuk, poised to make landfall in southern Thailand on 04 January, will be Thailand's first tropical storm to hit the country outside of the monsoon season in nearly 30 years, media reported.
