epa06882179 Archaeologists work at the archaeological site of Teopanzolco, Morelos state, Mexico, 11 July 2018. An earthquake on 19 September 2017 caused serious damage to the Teopanzolco archaeological zone in central Mexico, but also brought about a revelation: a new building of worship that could be older than the Templo Mayor (Greater Temple) of the Aztec city of Tenochtitlan. The site remains protected and closed to the public since the 7.1-magnitude quake put its stability at risk. EPA/Tony Rivera
