Descriere: epa06498382 A man (C) releases fish into a tank as others stand watching, in Thuy Tram village, Tuy Loc commune, Phu Tho province, Vietnam, 05 February 2018. Vietnamese people prepare for a traditional farewell ceremony for the Kitchen Gods, Tao Quan, for their annual trip to heaven on the 23rd day of the last month of the lunar year, which falls on 08 February this year. The Kitchen Gods are believed as two male and one female, who will make their journey to heaven on the backs of fish to deliver a report on the household's activities to the God of Heaven. On that day, it is a tradition to release live carps into lakes or rivers before noon. As the ceremony is coming near, people in the famous red-carp growing Thuy Tram Village are busy harvesting carp fish for sale. Carps grown at the village are distributed in many provinces in northern Vietnam, with price around six US dollars per kilogram as wholesale price. EPA/LUONG THAI LINH
