epa06343200 A handout screengrab of a surveillance video taken on 13 November 2017 and released by the United Nations Command (UNC) on 22 November 2017 shows a North Korean Korean People's Army (KPA) defector (R, front) being pursued by North Korean soldiers as he runs out from a jeep at the Joint Security Area (JSA) of the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ). According to the UNC, a UNC Special Investigation Team conducted an investigation into the footage saying that the KPA violated the UN Armistice Agreement twice during the event by 'firing weapons across the Military Demarcation Line (MDL) and when the defecting soldier actually temporarily crossed the MDL' to reach the Joint Security Area (JSA) in the village of Panmunjom on 13 November 2017.
