epa09048092 Hotel staff wearing protective equipment prepare for the arrival of guests at the approved Alternative State Quarantine (ASQ) Movenpick hotel in Bangkok, Thailand, 03 March 2021. Many hotels, have decided to become ASQ (Alternative State Quarantine) hotels in order to continue to serve guests as the tourism sector continues to suffer the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. As Thailand continues to enforce strict measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, all passengers arriving on international flights must undergo a mandatory 14-day alternative state quarantine (ASQ). ASQ is the country's quarantine process where travelers stay at government-approved hotels at their own expense, with three daily meals and wifi included, as well as transfer from the airport. After completion of the 14 days stay, and provided the COVID-19 tests return negative, guests are allowed to travel freely. EPA/DIEGO AZUBEL
