Diesel powered express rail train VT 18.16 so called Vindobona or Neptun of the German Reichsbahn was build in East Germany (GDR) city Goerlitz. From 1957 to until 1979 Vindobona train operated on railway connection between former East Berlin to Vienna via former communist Czechoslovakia. In November 2020 ´SVT Goerlitz ´association received 4 millions EUR for train restoration. The train should operate on tourism bases from spring 2023.
