The Alasita fair, declared an Intangible Heritage of Humanity, opened its doors this 24 January in the Bolivian city of La Paz. Thousands of people lined up at the main fair and in the other squares to take the tours and worship the Andean god Ekeko, represented by a hat and mustache that carries all material possessions that can be imagined on his body.
