epaselect epa10968912 Little Amal, a 12-foot puppet symbolizing a 10-year-old Syrian refugee girl, is presented in the facilities of the Government Palace of Nuevo Leon, in the city of Monterrey, Mexico, 10 November 2023. Little Amal aims to promote inclusion in Monterrey, the largest city in northern Mexico and one of the main recipients of migrants from the growing migratory flow. Between 06 and 26 November Little Amal will journey through Mexico, the first Latin American and Spanish-speaking country of her long journey, where will visit seven cities and 30 events will be created to welcome her. Little Amal is to share a message of hope with the population of migrants and refugees who are in the city, waiting for asylum and protection from the USA. EPA/Miguel Sierra
