(250212) -- SEOUL, Feb. 12, 2025 (Xinhua) -- Members of the coast guard conduct rescue work in waters off Jeju Island in South Korea, Feb. 12, 2025. Five people were rescued after a fishing boat with 10 people on board capsized off South Korea's southern resort island of Jeju on Wednesday, multiple media outlets said.\r\n The coast guard received a distress signal at about 7:56 p.m. local time (1056 GMT) from the 33-ton fishing vessel.\r\n A 500-ton coast guard ship was sent to the scene, finding the fishing boat overturned and rescuing five people.\r\n A wind wave advisory was issued in nearby waters, with the wind at 18-20 meters per second and waves rising 3 meters high.
